LGBT HERO, the national health and wellbeing charity, proudly announces the launch of a dedicated online shop that pays homage to the iconic legacy of GMFA (Gay Men Fighting AIDS), the pioneering HIV and sexual health advocacy charity. This initiative aims to celebrate the rich history of GMFA while raising funds to sustain and advance the critical work undertaken by LGBT HERO.

The new online shop offers a range of exclusive merchandise featuring vintage GMFA campaigns, allowing supporters to own a piece of HIV history. From stylish t-shirts and cozy hoodies to vibrant mugs, the items showcase the impactful visuals and messages that have defined GMFA's decades-long commitment to sexual health and HIV awareness.

GMFA, founded in 1992, has been at the forefront of HIV and AIDS prevention advocacy, playing a pivotal role in educating, supporting, and empowering communities. The vintage campaigns featured on the merchandise reflect the powerful narratives and groundbreaking strategies that made GMFA a trailblazer in the fight against HIV/AIDS and the promotion of sexual health.

Every purchase from the online shop directly contributes to the financial sustainability of LGBT HERO and the preservation of GMFA's enduring legacy. The funds raised will be utilised to support ongoing LGBTQ+ health programs, outreach initiatives, and educational campaigns that address the evolving needs of the community.

"As we launch this commemorative shop, we celebrate the incredible legacy of GMFA and its contributions to LGBTQ+ health advocacy," said Ian Howley, Chief Executive at LGBT HERO. "By wearing these items or using the mugs, individuals not only showcase their support in the fight against HIV and AIDS, but also contribute to the continuation of this vital work. We are committed to preserving GMFA's legacy and ensuring that its impact endures for generations to come."

As part of the shop the charity has also launched a new U=U collection to celebrate that those living with HIV and on effective medication cannot pass on the virus to others through sex. The designs reflect the cheeky style both GMFA and now LGBT HERO is known to have while providing a powerful message. Ian Howley, Chief Executive at LGBT HERO said, "It's important that people who are living with HIV feel empowered to live as happy and healthy life as anyone else. Being undetectable is something that should be celebrated and these three designs are here to allow people to feel sexy, sexual, powerful, human! Both the GMFA and U=U collections are just the beginning of the shop and we'll be aiming to add more designs in the future."

The online shop is now live and can be accessed at www.lgbthero.org.uk/shop. For more information about LGBT HERO, please visit www.lgbthero.org.uk.
